French Lick Town Council plans to establish a park at Cherry Hill

FRENCH LICK – The French Lick Town Council on Wednesday, Oct. 25 unveiled its plans to build a three-acre park at Cherry Hill – on lower Hancock Street. The event took place at French Lick Town Hall at 7659 W. Hunters Run Drive.

The park will include a shelter house, lighted walking trails, a playground, and restrooms. The park on the southwest side of town will link residential neighborhoods, including several new homes, and the State Road 56 corridor.

This will be French Lick’s first multi-use park.

The parks which are estimated to cost approximately $3 million will be built in two phases with the first phase starting this year.

The parks will be paid for by the French Lick Redevelopment Tax Increments from the Finance District.
