Gas prices are on the rise

INDIANA – Average gasoline prices in Indiana have risen 27.8 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.39 a gallon today, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 201 stations.

Gas prices in Lawrence County for regular fuel range between $3.24 a gallon to $3.05 a gallon. For diesel prices range from $4.29 a gallon to $4.19 a gallon.

Prices are 22.9 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 30.2 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has fallen 3.4 cents in the last week and stands at $4.43 per gallon.

The lowest price in the state yesterday was $2.89 a gallon while the highest was $4.29 a gallon, a difference of $1.40 a gallon.

The national average price of gasoline has fallen 5.3 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.45 a gallon today. The national average is down 36.3 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 27.4 cents per gallon lower than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country.
