LAWRENCE CO. – At last night’s County Council meeting Judge Nikirk came before the council to request $4,847 to cover the repair of software recently installed in Courtroom II.
The hearing devices in courtroom II stopped working. Recording equipment is essential and used every day in the courts. The costs were not factored into the budget earlier by mistake.
The $4,847 cost is comprised of the work to make repairs to the equipment, and to cover the warranty up to the present date and through next year.
The contract will run from October 2023 until October 2024.
