Ruth A. Harrell, 73 of Bedford passed away on Sunday October 15, 2023, at 7:17 a.m. at IU Health in Bedford.
She was born in Bedford on June 1, 1950, to Fred and Evelyn (Underwood) Fields. Ruth married Joe Harrell on May 25, 1975, and he survives.
Ruth retired from Dunn Hospital in Bedford. Survivors include her husband, Joe Harrell of Bedford, one daughter, Brandy (Jason) Grant of Indianapolis, grandchildren, Alexia (Nick) Cochran of Bedford, Dezman Harrell of Bedford, Breanna (Luis) Grant of Indianapolis, and Kealee (Justin) Knust of Jasper, two great grandchildren, Rowen and Rydlee Cochran of Bedford. Several nieces, nephews and cousins. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, April Harrell, grandson, Isaac Kopsho, and sister, Diane Bridwell.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, October 19 at 2:00 p.m. at Cresthaven Funeral Home, burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. The visitation will be on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
