Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce and the Bloomington Rotary will present the Futurecast: Economic Outlook

BLOOMINGTON – On Thursday, November 9, 2023, the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce and the Bloomington Rotary will present the Futurecast: Economic Outlook.

The Kelley School of Business at Indiana University has been sharing its forecasts for the economies of the nation, Indiana, and metro areas for more than 50 years. The annual tour will travel to 11 cities across the state, beginning November 1 in Indianapolis and concluding in South Bend on November 30. These events are the chance to hear and interact with several of the state’s leading economic thinkers as they discuss how the changing economic environment will affect the local region, Indiana, and the nation in the coming year. This event provides crucial economic information needed by many Indiana businesses, government, and nonprofit organizations.

The Futurecast panel and luncheon is a joint event held with the Bloomington Rotary Club. Each November a panel from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business presents their knowledge and insight on local state, federal, and international economies.

Panelists and moderator include:

R. Andrew Butters – Associate Professor of Business Economics & Public Policy – Bloomington

Dr. Isaac Hacamo – Associate Professor of Finance – Bloomington

Carol Rogers – Director, Indiana Business Research Center – Indianapolis

Jennifer Pearl – President, Bloomington Economic Development Corporation

The event will be held at the Monroe Convention Center at 302 South College Avenue in Bloomington from 11:15 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
