Firefighters battle small fire in former Coca-Cola building in Washington

WASHINGTON – Washington Fire Department firefighters battled a fire at 107 West Main Street Tuesday at the former Coca-Cola warehouse.

Firefighters responded to the fire at 9:10 p.m.

According to initial reports, a caller spotted smoke billowing from the two-story building and roof.

Firefighters made entry and found a small fire on the second floor that was quickly extinguished. There was a lot of smoke in the building.

The State Fire Marshal was alerted to investigate the cause of the blaze.

Authorities are gathering information, including potential security camera footage from nearby buildings.
