Traditional Bluegrass Matinee Event to Close Lincoln Amphitheatre Series THIS Sunday

LINCOLN STATE PARK – The traditional bluegrass sounds of Owensboro’s ROMP fest veterans Kings Highway and western Kentucky’s Classy & Grassy will close out the Lincoln Amphitheatre’s 2023 performance series this Sunday, October 8, at 4 p.m. central.  

The performance, the final event of the Lincoln Amphitheatre’s 2023 Amp Unplugged Sunday afternoon series, is presented in part with support from the Friends of Lincoln State Park. 

A special pre-show free event, “Young Abe’s Bluegrass & Country Craft Fair”, will be held from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the amphitheater’s parking lot and will feature vendors, food trucks, live interactive birds of prey demonstration, kids activities and more.

Owensboro, Kentucky’s Kings Highway has been playing bluegrass music for more than ten years and claims inspiration from Bill Monroe, Lester Flatt, and Earl Scruggs.  Crittenden County’s Classy & Grassy is a young and passionate traditional bluegrass, country, and gospel band known for its family-friendly performances and musicianship.
