Start the weekend early with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra’s First Thursdays  

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra announces First Thursdays, your FREE ticket to go behind the scenes at the Indianapolis Symphony! Featuring five events during the 2023-24 season, each First Thursday offers an opportunity to get to know the ISO in a friendly and intimate setting.  

Doors will open at 6 p.m. with a cash bar available for you to relax after work and meet new and old friends alike. The hour-long program will start promptly at 7 p.m. as you learn more about the orchestra through performances, exclusive interviews, and interactive activities. Enjoy a beverage and join ISO Assistant Conductor Su-Han Yang as your host in our beautiful Hilbert Circle Theatre lobby.  
 
The first program on October 5 will feature Su-Han Yang with tips on how to enjoy classical music as well as Concertmaster Kevin Lin as he prepares for his big night performing Saint-Saëns’ Violin Concerto No. 3. You will also get a lesson on how to use the bow from our friends at the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra! Reserve your spot here.
