Indiana Partners for Pollution Prevention welcomes new member

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Partners for Pollution Prevention inducted its newest member at the organization’s 26th conference and tradeshow held on Sept. 20, 2023. 

GHD Services Inc.’s Indianapolis location joins approximately 100 Indiana businesses in pledging to go above and beyond with their commitment to voluntary environmental initiatives. As a new member, GHD Services has pledged to implement voluntary environmental initiatives at its facility, share information and expertise with other businesses, foster environmental stewardship among its employees, and help raise public awareness of its sustainability efforts.

GHD Services Inc. is a global professional services company providing consulting, engineering, and digital services in the markets of environment, water, transportation, property and buildings, and energy that uses forward-looking, innovative approaches in sustainability, equity, and ESG policies and goals. The company is currently working toward carbon neutrality for Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions by 2025 and is focused on building lasting relationships with its partners and clients. The company was established in 1928 and now has 200 offices located across five continents; the Indianapolis office opened in 2002.

Partners for Pollution Prevention (Partners) provides each member with opportunities to network with other industries, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and governmental entities that share an interest in pollution prevention and sustainability. Members benefit from learning about the financial and environmental benefits of pollution prevention projects from member organizations. Partners for Pollution Prevention holds three quarterly meetings and an annual conference and trade show where members exchange ideas, receive regulatory updates, and hear pollution prevention success stories.

All Partners for Pollution Prevention members agree to take the Partner Pledge:

  • Ensure employees are aware of your company’s commitment to pollution prevention (P2) and understand their role in implementing P2 objectives and goals;
  • Incorporate P2 planning in the development of new products, processes, and/or services;
  • Establish a mechanism to monitor waste generation and identify realistic P2 goals;
  • Establish a process to listen and respond to stakeholder concerns;
  • Make available, at the request of your community, IDEM, and the Partners, information about your company’s waste reduction and pollution prevention efforts;
  • Establish an outreach program for promoting and supporting P2 efforts in your community;
  • Participate in two or more Partners quarterly meetings each year;
  • Support the Partners Annual Pollution Prevention Conference and Trade Show; and
  • Submit to the Partners an annual pollution prevention activity certification.
