Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Bloomington this Sunday, October 1

BLOOMINGTON – On Sunday, Oct. 1, Bloomington-area residents will join the fight to end Alzheimer’s disease at the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® — the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.

On Walk day, participants honor those affected by Alzheimer’s with the poignant Promise Garden ceremony — a mission-focused experience that signifies our solidarity in the fight against the disease. During the ceremony, walkers will carry flowers of various colors, each color representing their personal connection to the disease.

For more information and to register, visit alz.org/Indiana/walk.

The gates open at Switchyard Park at 12:30 p.m., and the Promise Garden ceremony is at 1:15 p.m. with the walk following after.

Switchyard Park is located at 1601 south Rogers Street in Bloomington.
