Secretary of State Diego Morales recognizes State Comptroller Tera Klutz’s Service

INDIANA – Secretary of State Diego Morales recognizes State Comptroller Tera Klutz’s service. Comptroller Klutz announced earlier today she will be resigning from her position.

Comptroller Klutz has dedicated 20 years to public service.  Through those years of service in local and state government, she has led with passion and integrity.

In 2017, Klutz began her service as State Auditor and in July of 2023 the name changed to State Comptroller to better align with the responsibilities of the office.

Comptroller Klutz has provided accurate government finance information and maintained transparency for all Hoosiers. She has utilized technology to modernize the state’s payroll system and has streamlined easier access.

Secretary Morales took office the same time as Comptroller Klutz began her second term and appreciates her constant support since the start.  

“Comptroller Klutz was welcoming even before I took office and every day since. I firmly believe Tera valued the trust Hoosiers instilled in her and it showed through her work. I was honored to work alongside Tera and to call her a friend,” said Indiana Secretary of State Diego Morales.

Comptroller Klutz has stated she will continue her service through November 30. She became the first State Comptroller for Indiana.
