Carlon “Jim” Courtright, 81, of Shoals, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bedford.
Born September 15, 1942, he was the son of Chester and Margie (Robbins) Courtright. Jim graduated from Shoals High School and worked as a lifelong farmer in Martin County. He enjoyed competitive trap shooting and working on all kinds of farm equipment.
Surviving are his children, Cathy (Don) McCallister, Deirdre Courtright, and James (Stephanie) Courtright; grandchildren, Logan McCallister, Devin Osborne, James Ryan (Hannah) Courtright, and Paige Courtright; sister, Judy Felts; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; great-grandson, Kenton James; and brother, Kenny Courtright.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at the Queen-Lee Chapel of George Funeral Care with Pastor Steve Wever officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Queen-Lee Chapel, Shoals.
