Indiana Wesleyan University brings Bryan and Katie Torwalt of Jesus Culture to campus for homecoming concert

MARION — Indiana Wesleyan University will host Bryan and Katie Torwalt of Jesus Culture for its homecoming concert on Saturday, October 14th at 7:00 p.m. in the Phillippe Performing Arts Center (PPAC).

The concert is the culminating event of a weekend full of activities for students, families, and alumni.

Bryan and Katie Torwalt are artists, songwriters, and worship leaders. The Torwalts and daughter, Indigo, reside in Sacramento, California where they have been part of Jesus Culture Music since 2010. Bryan and Katie are passionate about writing songs for the church, and their debut album, Here on Earth, featuring Grammy-winning original song “Holy Spirit,” opened the doors for many to experience worship in a powerful way.

IWU is excited to offer this powerful worship experience in concert. Gidget Hamner, Director of University Advancement anticipates, “Indiana Wesleyan University’s campus will come alive with the spirit of worship as Bryan and Katie Torwalt take the stage. This event promises to be a night of unity and spiritual rejuvenation as students, faculty, and community members gather to lift their voices in praise.”

Ticket sales for the event are online at www.indwes.edu/events/onstage and can be purchased at $25 per ticket for general admission and $10 for student admission. The tickets will also be sold at the PPAC box office on October 14th from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. The intimate setting of the PPAC offers an opportunity for impactful community worship. Hamner says, “The Torwalts’ music has a way of breaking down walls and ushering in an atmosphere where hearts are opened, burdens are lifted, and the presence of God is felt deeply.”

As always, IWU is honored to bring excellent artists to draw students, faculty, alumni, and families closer to Christ. The Homecoming weekend will offer many events like a 50th class reunion, an alumni brunch, a 5K Color Run/Walk, a football game, food trucks, and more. These events and the culminating concert will bring the IWU community together to worship God and unite the mission of the university.
