Drug arrest made after an employee reports suspicious customers


BEDFORD – A Bedford man will face drug charges after Bedford Police officers were alerted of two suspicious males at Revere’s Food & Fuel on 16th Street.

The caller reported the men were in a gray Chevrolet Malibu that had a broken windshield.

When officers arrived on Tuesday, September 12 at 1:36 p.m. they found the vehicle at the gas pump.

One of those men was 24-year-old Jonathan Amabile, he was pumping gas. Officers knew Amabile was wanted on a warrant for a petition to revoke his probation. He was detained.

Police say Amabile appeared to be impaired. In his pocket, police found a plastic baggie that contained heroin and a metal cylindrical tube.

Sebastian Harp was a passenger in the vehicle. In his pocket, police also found a baggy of crystal meth. He told police that Amabile threw the bag at him when he saw the police officers approaching.

Bedford Police canine Zazu alerted officers to more drugs in the vehicle. On the passenger floorboard police found a baggy containing crystal meth.

Amabile was medically cleared and refused further medical attention. He confessed the meth found in the vehicle on Harp was his.

Amabile was charged with possession of meth, possession of a narcotic drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, the warrant.
