Senator Mike Braun shared about the discovery he and his wife made of their own historical landmark after finding and buying their own home in Dubois County Indiana.

“I love where we all come from. We’re lucky the good Lord dropped us into Dubois County, Lawrence County, and it’s because you have stuff like this,” Senator Braun said of the Hamer House in his 8-minute speech.

“I love it when someone is able to see what a gem we’ve got here,” he continued. “So often it slips into disrepair, or goes too far and you can’t salvage it.”

“Being right here, a historic place like this, the set-up, the acreage you’ve got to go with it – you’ve done a big service for the future of your county and of your area.”

Senator Braun answered a few questions about his plans if he becomes the next Governor, then spent the rest of the time meeting locals individually.
