BEDFORD – Saturday’s annual Bedford Parks Department & Southern Indiana’s Classic Hits 105.5 WQRK Car Show saw awards pass to 14 excited entries.

A beautiful day, not too cool and not too hot, saw a gorgeous variety of cars, trucks, and bikes lined up in Thornton Park.

Artie Grimaldo, a regular at the show for many years, brought one of his 14 cars, a 1948 Chevrolet Fleetline Aerosedan in a beautiful sage green with a lovely brown interior and a matching mini-model of the car.

Artie has owned the car for 15 years, and it’s one of the only ones factory-manufactured with a top that looks “chopped” or flattened.

Artie was even able to find an exact model of the vehicle in the same shade of Green, and it was on display in the trunk.

Gary Dorsett, the Recreation Director for the Bedford Parks Department was key in putting the event together along with Jimmy Jones, Park Director as the overseer.
