Gov. Holcomb to break ground on $1.5 billion Terre Haute ENTEK Operations

TERRE HAUTE – Governor Eric J. Holcomb will join executives of ENTEK and local officials at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 6, to break ground on the company’s new operations.

In March, ENTEK, the only U.S.-owned and U.S.-based producer of ‘wet-process’ lithium-ion battery separator materials, announced plans to establish operations in Indiana, investing $1.5 billion in a new Terre Haute production facility.

The project, which marks the company’s largest investment thus far, will create up to 642 new, high-wage jobs by the end of 2027 and support the growing electric vehicle (EV) industry in Indiana and across the United States.
