In response to this investigation, Ice Cream House of Brooklyn, NY, has voluntarily recalled all dairy and non-dairy products bearing the Ice Cream House logo that were manufactured in the Brooklyn, NY, facility. This is the same facility where recalled Soft Serve On The Go Ice Cream cups were manufactured. Product and environmental sampling was conducted by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene at the Ice Cream House manufacturing facility.

An Ice Cream House mini dessert cigar novelty ice cream product and several environmental samples were reported as positive for Listeria monocytogenes. Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) analysis confirmed that the strain of Listeria found in these samples matches the outbreak strain.

All products manufactured at this facility have been recalled. The Ice Cream House has temporarily halted production and ceased retail service at this facility.

FDA’s investigation is ongoing. Updates to this advisory will be provided as information becomes available.
