Crafty and delightful: A look at Bedford Public Library’s scrapbook event

BEDFORD – Yesterday, Cindy Guerrero, Children and Teen Specialist at the Bedford Public Library was in charge of “Don’t Scrap It, Cut it Out!”, a scrap-booking get together for beginners or professionals.

Attendees had access to whatever supplies they brought with them, as well as an assortment of supplies furnished by the library and Cindy herself.

Stickers, washi tape, cardstock, sticky notes, paper of all sorts, markers, fun scissors, and more facilitated the crafting of the guests.

While small in attendance, with just five guests, the event was a blast, with chatty conversation and friendly interactions.

Cindy is relatively new to the area. She moved to Bedford with her husband from San Antonio, Texas a year ago, and has been working at the library since. She’s involved in many of the library’s activities, including the Mad Tea Party that’s coming up on September 7.

Cindy scrap-books as a hobby since picking it up for a friend’s family trips as a child, and now she’s doing a great job of spreading her passion and life into library events for Bedford’s youth.
