Woman wanted on warrant resists officers

BEDFORD – A Bedford woman was arrested Monday after Bedford Police officers were requested to IU Health Hospital about a female who was wanted on a warrant in Monroe County.

Alexandra Kinser

When police arrived at 8:15 p.m. they found 20-year-old Alexandra Kinser sitting in the front seat of a white and maroon pickup truck in the parking lot.

Kinser showed an officer an identification card claiming she was Tiffanie Dike. However, that identification card did not belong to her. The officer requested to see the identification card again and Kinser refused to comply. She then refused to exit the vehicle and continued to act erratically and scream at officers.

An officer reached into the truck to remove Kinser from the vehicle. She continued to resist and kicked the officer in the upper body and slapped him in the face. She also clawed the back of his neck.

While officers were struggling with Kinser the vehicle next to the one she was in was damaged.

She was removed from the truck and placed in handcuffs. While being placed in the back of a police vehicle Kinser grabbed another officer’s scrotum.

Kinser was taken inside the hospital for a medical evaluation but refused treatment. Both officers were treated at the scene for their injuries.

Kinser was arrested on charges of identity deception, resisting arrest by force, and two counts of battery against a police officer.
