CORNucopia of activities at Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market

BLOOMINGTON – The Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market is more than a fresh food market. It’s a health-affirming experience, bringing together vendors who provide unprocessed farm products, plant, value-added foods, home-based vendor foods, grown/raised and prepared at market foods, and much more.

Fresh corn on the cob is always a treat. You’ll know the difference the moment you bite into the ear: crisp, farm-fresh sweet corn that hits your taste buds with a wave of flavor. You just can’t get that same sensation from produce that’s been picked, boxed, and transported to sit for days in displays at large commercial stores.

The corn lines form fast on Saturday at the Market located at Showers Commons at 401 South Morton Street in Bloomington.

While the growing season for sweet corn only lasts a few months, a variety of our vendors make the search for handpicked, fresh sweet corn that much easier.

Music at the Market

This Saturday, we’re featuring Moodaxo (Breonna Baggett). As a current Jacobs School of Music student, she is an artist who defies standards by being a vocalist, cellist, writer, and performer.

She effortlessly moves through different genres like Hip Hop, R&B, Neo Soul, Classical, Pop music, and more. She’ll perform on the Circular Stage this Saturday beginning at 10 a.m.

Celebrating the 33rd Americans with Disabilities Anniversary

It’s going to be on this Saturday, July 29th, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., at the City Hall, Fernandez Plaza (next to Farmers’ Market).
