Indiana Chamber seeks DEI Champion Award nominations

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for the 2023 Jackson Lewis Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Champion Award. This distinction honors an organization making strides to become a more equitable workplace.

Judges will evaluate how nominees developed, promoted, and executed DEI initiatives and, in particular, how the DEI practices are woven into the fabric of a company’s mission and values.

“Lifting up underrepresented groups and seeing them thrive in the modern economy benefits not only those individuals but makes Indiana a better place, which is why this is such an important thing to do,” explains Indiana Chamber President and CEO Kevin Brinegar. “We want to see how Hoosier organizations across the state have used DEI to make a positive difference in their workplace – and beyond.”

Nominations are due August 21 and can be submitted at www.indianachamber.com/DEIaward.

Nationwide law firm Jackson Lewis P.C., which has a local presence in Indianapolis, is sponsoring the award.

The DEI champion will be recognized at the Indiana Chamber’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Summit on October 3. Find more information on the event at www.indianachamber.com/conferences.
