2024 math and reading skills assessment for select NLCS schools and grades planned to take place

LAWRENCE COUNTY – The National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) will be administered to Bedford Middle School 8th graders, and Lincoln Elementary 4th graders between January 29 and March 8 of the upcoming year. The assessment will cover Math and Reading skills.

The NAEP assessment is a test that provides important information about student achievement and learning experiences in various subjects. It is the largest nationally-representative and continuing assessment of what US students know and can do.

Because NLCS uses federal funding, Federal law requires that should any of the NLCS be selected for the assessments, they must be administered to certain groups of students.
