Congratulations to our Lawrence County 4-H Fair Queen winners!

LAWRENCE COUNTY – Last night at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds Expo Hall, the Lawrence County Queen contest was held at 6 p.m. The 24 contestants competed in four categories, including Lawrence County Queen, Princess, Junior Miss, and Little Miss.

Attended by a horde of supporters for the contestants, the event opened at 5:30 p.m. Friday night, and by the time it began, the seats were filled with onlookers.

Izzy Shew’s chosen career path takes her down the road to animal nutrition, and she briefly explained to her audience how good animal nutrition can improve many aspects of the farming and living world.

The first runner up for the Queen title was Kitty Gabhart.

Second runner-up and Miss Congeniality Emily Phillips, presented a speech on her aspirations to become a veterinary doctor.

Winner of the Lawrence County Princess title is Emma Steepleton.
