MARTIN CO. Storms raged through the area Sunday afternoon leaving damage in their wake.
Martin County EMA Director Cameron Wolf reports that a home on Windom Road was hit by a tornado, killing one of the occupants and injuring the other.
The area around the home is described as rural and is surrounded by multiple trees that have been brought down by the high winds.
The National Weather Service Indianapolis office says a survey team was sent to Martin County yesterday.
No other information on the extent of the damage in Martin County was immediately available.
