USDA recognizes top national lending partners to support rural homeownership

WASHINGTON – The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) today hosted the 2023
National Lender of the Year Awards Ceremony to recognize the work of its top national lending partners to support rural homeownership in 2022.

These lenders helped rural families and individuals buy homes nationwide last year through USDA Rural Development’s Single Family Housing Guaranteed Loan Program.

The agency presented the awards to:

USDA Top Originating Lender Champion Award 2023

  • 1st – Movement Mortgage, based in South Carolina
  • 2nd – Guild Mortgage Company, based in California
  • 3rd – Cross Country Mortgage, based in Ohio
  • 4th – Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation, based in Wisconsin
  • 5th – Flat Branch Mortgage, based in Missouri

USDA 2023 Top Wholesale Lender Champion Award

  • 1st – United Wholesale Mortgage LLC, based in Michigan
  • 2nd – Flagstar Bank, based in Michigan
  • 3rd – Click N Close, based in Texas
  • 4th – Caliber Home Loans, based in Texas
  • 5th – Plaza Home Mortgage, based in California

  • 1st – Plains Commerce Bank, based in South Dakota
  • 2nd – Iowa Bankers Mortgage Corp, based in Iowa
  • 3rd – Benchmark Mortgage, based in Texas

January 2021, the Biden-Harris Administration has invested almost $34 billion to help more than 188,275
people in rural and tribal communities buy and build homes through the Single Family Housing Guaranteed Loan Program.
