ORLEANS – The Orleans American Legion Commander, Ron Taylor, and Will Terry, Carnival Ticket Sales Coordinator, recently presented a check to Orleans Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Robert Henderson.
Commander Taylor stated, “The Legion had a very good year of Carnival Ticket sales. The Chamber’s expenses to coordinate and sponsor the Dogwood Festival are enormous and we at Post 69 feel obligated to return a portion to our beloved partner and town. I would like to encourage the other Dogwood Festival vendors to follow suit; with your contribution and help, our Chamber will be able to continue those services and activities that make our town so great. Also, I’d like to thank the residents of Orleans and the surrounding communities for their continued support of the carnival, our town and our veterans. As our country continues to recover from a struggling economy, we look forward to an even better festival next year.”
