Willard Hensley, 86, of Mitchell, passed away on May 24, 2023, at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born on July 10, 1936, he was the son of Ellen (Atchison) Hensley. He married Josephine Wininger on Nov. 26, 1956, and she passed away on Dec. 17, 2017. Willard was retired from Carpenter Body Works.
Surviving to cherish the memory of Willard is one daughter, Debbie (Randy) King; one son, Randy (Diana) Hensley; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild on the way; along with several nieces and nephews.
Willard is preceded in death by his mother; wife; and brothers, Wayne Cooper and Winfred
Hensley.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford with Rick Gammon officiating. Burial will follow at the Bryantsville Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to the service time on Tuesday, also at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel.
