The Bedford Farmers’ Market opens for the 2023 season on Saturday

BEDFORD – The Bedford Farmers’ Market is open for the 2023 season on Saturdays.

The market will run from 8 a.m. until noon on Saturdays now through Oct. 28 on the west side of the Lawrence County Courthouse square.

The Bedford Farmers Market consists of local farmers, artisans, and bakers selling items that are handmade or homegrown in Lawrence County and within 75 miles from the courthouse.

Products available at the Bedford Farmers Market include fresh produce, plants, farm fresh eggs, local beef, chicken and pork, baked goods, jams, jellies, sweet bread, pies, cinnamon rolls, jewelry, tie-dye, pottery, leather goods, baby items, candles, walking sticks, baskets, crochet dolls/animals and a variety of other art/craft items.

Many of the vendors accept WIC vouchers and IU Health-Bedford provides bonus vouchers to WIC recipients for use at the market.

Individuals and groups will be performing live music and performances to entertain customers while they shop.

New vendors are always welcome. The vendor fee is $50 a year for a 10×10 space. Vendors who expect to participate for fewer than 5 weeks may pay a weekly fee of $10 rather than an annual fee. Reserved spots are available for a fee of $10 per space and electricity is also available for a small fee. Vendor applications can be found here.
