Obituary: Danny William Eads

November 15, 1944 – April 22, 2023

Danny William Eads, 78, of Bedford, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2023, at I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital.

Born November 15, 1944, in Bedford, he was the son of Earmy Lester and Juanita Mae (Kinser) Eads. Danny was retired from B.G. Hoadley Stone Quarry where he was both a sawyer and mechanic. He had also worked in construction throughout his life. Danny enjoyed deer hunting when he was younger, woodworking, and swinging on his front porch swing. He was a member of the Sanders Pentecostal Church.

On June 12, 1964, he married his wife of 58 years, Gloria J. (Prince) Eads who survives. He is also survived by his son, Tony D. (Loretta) Eads, of Bedford; two daughters, Contrina (Eugene) Martin, of Heltonville, and Christina (Denny) Fleener, of Ellettsville; four sisters, Peggy (Kenny) Ratliff, Marita (Tim) Bunch, Becky Turpin and Luetta (Mike) Patton, all of Bedford; nine grandchildren, Jessica, Kelsey, Isaac, Dusty, Sam, Chelsi, Ethan, Ashton and Tony and ten great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws, Ira Forrest and Thelma “Recia” (Kinser) Prince, three brothers-in-law, Rodney Prince, Robin Prince, and Jerry Joe Morron; two sisters-in-law, Carolyn Morron and Karen Prince and one great-granddaughter, Adeline Turner.

The funeral service will be on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home; 4150 E. Third St. with Pastors Joe Nelson and Billie Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
