BLOOMINGTON – The Stand Up! Veterans Resource Fair is Monday, April 17 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
The event is free to veterans, their families, and caregivers. The event will be held at the American Legion Post 18, at 1800 West 3rd Street in Bloomington.
A $2 lunch will be available.
The Departments of Housing and Neighborhood Development (HAND) and Human Resources will participate in this resource fair for veterans. More than 25 local, state, and federal organizations will participate to provide information about medical benefits, education benefits, property tax deductions, housing grants and loans, employment opportunities, basic needs assistance, and more.
Veterans, remember to bring your DD-214 (discharge papers).
Representatives from the VA Medical Center will conduct toxic exposure screenings on-site.
