ISP dispatcher Monda Heath promoted to regional manager

INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana State Police Superintendent Doug Carter has announced the promotion of Region Five Dispatcher Monda Heath to the position of Regional Dispatch Manager.

Monda was selected after a competitive interview process and evaluation of overall job performance.

Monda is a native of Markleville, Indiana and a 1991 graduate of Pendleton Height High School. Before being hired by the Indiana State Police she served as a paramedic with Wishard / Indianapolis EMS and as a dispatcher for CARE Ambulance Service. In 2017 Monda began her career as a dispatcher at the Indianapolis Regional Dispatch Center for the Indiana State Police and has served in that role since. 

In her new position, Monda will oversee day to day operations in the Region Five Dispatch Center, which handles emergency 911 calls and Indiana State Police radio dispatching for the Indianapolis, Pendleton and Putnamville Distircts.

When asked about her favorite part of being a dispatcher, Monda said. “I have had a lifelong passion for public service and this position allows me to continue serving by providing emergency help to those who need it.”
