Bedford Fire Department firefighters are still on the scene of a house fire on Q Street

BEDFORD – Bedford Fire Department firefighters responded to a house fire this morning in the 1000 block of Q Street. The fire was reported at 7:13 a.m.

Firefighters are still on the scene extinguishing hot spots and investigating. No injuries have been reported at this time.

Bedford Fire Department Chief John Hughes is also on the scene.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Firefighters from all three stations, the Bedford Police, Street Department crews, and an IU Lifeline Ambulance crew are all on the scene.

Bedford Street Department crews placed barricades up to prevent motorists from entering the area. The following streets are closed, 14th Street from P Street to R Street and Q Street from 15th Street to 13th Street.
