Jackie Jean, 81, of Bedford, IN passed away on March 16, 2023 at I.U. Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born on July 20, 1941, he was the son of Lee Franklin and Oleta (Brown) Jean. He married Claudia McDonald on October 17, 2019, and she survives.
Jackie retired from Indiana Limestone and was union member of the IAM. He was a member of the Eagles in Shoals and Jeffersonville and attended Leesville Methodist Church.
Surviving to cherish the memory of Jackie is his wife, Claudia; one son, Jackie (Lisa) Jean of Heltonville; two daughters, Missy (Dave) Hackney of Bedford and Lori (PJ) Pulliam of Tennessee; step-children, Teressa (Rich) Amburgey of Bedford, Daniel Pace of Tell City, Matthew Pace of Jeffersonville, Lisa (Scott) Burgess of Colorado, and Carla (Ted) Stites of Charlestown, IN; grandchildren, Jacob Perry, Mikala Haag, Dawsyn Hamilton, Devyn Long, Taylor Pace, Emilee Fleetwood, Richie Amburgey, Carter Amburgey, Carsyn Amburgey, Caman, and Isabella; great-grandchildren, Grace, Tripp, McCoy, and Lenny; two brothers Gary (Gaylynn) Jean and Kenny Jean; two sisters, Peggy (Bill) Gregory and Donna Cain; aunt, Joanne Wesner; uncle, Bill Wever; and several nieces and nephews.
Jackie is preceded in death by his parents; step-son, Toby Pace; and brother-in-law, JD Cain.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, March 20, 2023, at Leesville Methodist Church. Burial will follow at the Leesville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10am to 2:00pm on Monday, March 20, 2023 also at the Leesville Methodist Church. The Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes has been entrusted with the care for Mr. Jean.
