Peterson, Slone receive All-PLAC First Team honors

MITCHELL – Mitchell High School seniors Brooklyn Peterson and Mylea Slone have been named to the Patoka Lake Athletic Conference All-Conference First Team.

Peterson averaged 11.3 points per game, while shooting 43.7% from the field. She was also one of the team’s top rebounders, finishing the season with six double-doubles.

Slone average 13.1 points per game, while shooting 40.1% from field. She scored a season-high 26 points during the team’s Jan. 12 game against Eastern Greene.

Both players were also named as honorable mentions for the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association Academic All-State team
