James D. Stewart, 42, of Bloomington, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023, in Oolitic.
Born January 19, 1981, in Bloomington, he was the son of Frank D. Stewart, Jr. and Kristine (Pohlmann) Stewart. James was known for his quick wit, creativity, and his ability to see the hidden potential in everything around him. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, kayaking, and exploring, but what he cherished the most was spending time with his daughter and his family.
Survivors include a daughter, Alexis Tucker, and husband, Ronnie, of Bloomington; his mother, Kristine, of
Bloomington; a sister, Sarah Stewart, of Oolitic; a niece, Taylor Flick, of Terre Haute, IN; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank; a sister, Alicia Stewart; grandparents, Kenneth and Katharine Pohlmann, Frank and DeLoris Stewart.
Private memorial services will be conducted at a later date.
