ISP Dispatcher Amy Day reaches career milestone

INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana State Police Dispatcher Amy Day was recently honored for completing 25 years of service. She was presented with a certificate by Sergeant Jeff Rader.

Amy is a native of Cambridge City Indiana and a 1996 graduate of Lincoln High School. She began her career with the Indiana State Police as a dispatcher at the Connersville Post in 1998. She worked there until 2009 when ISP combined several dispatch centers and moved to central dispatch operations. Amy chose to continue her career in the Area Five Regional Dispatch Center at the Indianapolis Post where she still currently serves, covering emergency calls for three districts.

When asked about her favorite part about being an ISP Dispatcher, Amy said. “My favorite thing about being a dispatcher is the variety.   Working all three districts you experience such a wide array of calls, it doesn’t matter where you sit, no shift is the same!  That and snow days!  I love snow days!

On behalf of the Indianapolis, Pendleton, and Putnamville Posts, as well as those who served at the Connersville Post, we would like to sincerely thank Amy for 25 years of dedicated service and for always answering the call for help.
