Marsh Madness 2023 will kick off on Friday, February 24th

GREENE CO. – Marsh Madness, a community-based birding festival held in Linton. Come celebrate the migration of sandhill cranes and waterfowl at the Goose Pond Fish & Wildlife Area (FWA).

Led by the Friends of Goose Pond, the festival is filled with fun activities, including food trucks, master tracker programs, and nature trail walking tours.

Marsh Madness 2023 will kick off on Friday, February 24th. Linton Elks: Tickets are $30 and include Saturday events.

Saturday, February 25th: Roy Clark Building, Humphreys Park; Tickets $5 at the door or bus stop

  • Pick up maps for self-guided driving tours (8:00 am to 4:00 pm)
  • Day-of tips where bird guides are posted
  • Nature scavenger hunt with prizes
  • Birds of Prey 11:00 presentation and 2:30 presentation
  • Hoosier Herpetological Society
  • International Crane Foundation information table
  • Hands-on wildlife learning table
  • Marsh Madness cool merchandise is available
  • Wilkes Food Truck on-site for breakfast and lunch (8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.)
  • Building Squirrel Feeders 10:00 am to 2:00 pm West Shelter House
  • The first buses leave at 8:30 am Last bus leaves at 3:30 pm
