  • 12:25 a.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and 16th Street. A citation was issued for an expired license plate and false or fictitious registration
  • 12:41 a.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and 39th Street
  • 2:11 a.m. Request for a welfare check in the 1000 block of 3rd Street
  • 2:20 a.m. Medical emergency at Core Nursing Home

  • 6:04 p.m. Officers made extra patrols at J and 18th streets

  • 6:20 p.m. An information report was taken in the 2000 block of 30th Street

  • 7:52 p.m. Report of a person having a mental issue in the 200 block of R Street

  • 10:27 p.m. Nikki Gammon, 37, Mitchell, two counts of theft

  • 12 a.m. Traffic stop at US 50 East and Shawswick School Road. The driver was given a verbal warning for an equipment violation
  • 12:22 a.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and Dixie Highway
  • 1:49 a.m. 911 call in the 7000 block of North County Road 100 East
  • 2:38 a.m. Officers were out with a person at Ace Hardware in Mitchell
  • 3:36 a.m. Traffic stop at Main Street at the Shell station. The driver was given a verbal warning for a traffic violation
  • 4:08 a.m. Request for a welfare check in the 1000 block of Camelot Court
  • 4:19 a.m. Officers made extra patrols in the 8000 block of US 50 West 
  • 4:23 a.m. 911 call with no one on the line, but the dispatcher could hear a possible domestic fight in the 1000 block of Motocross Road. Officers responded there was no issue. A male who was at the home had left 
  • 4:48 a.m. Alarm sounding at the Highway Department on County Complex Road. The building was secure

  • 5:32 a.m. 911 call in the 300 block of Old State Road 37. It was an accidental call
  • 6:42 a.m. Report of an injured deer in the roadway on US 50 East at Shawswick Station Road
  • 8:53 a.m. Request for animal control in the 1000 block of Trogdon Lane for dogs running loose and chasing the caller’s goats
  • 9:06 a.m. Citizen assist in the 200 block of Greer Lane. The woman reported she would like to speak to an officer about her granddaughter’s mental state. The woman states the granddaughter feels the police are now against her and it has made things worse now that she can not report things
  • 9:06 a.m. Request for animal control in the 1000 block of Sheridan Drive for stray cats in the yard
  • 10:58 a.m. Request for a welfare check on a male with health issues in the 1000 block of Peerless Road. An officer reported the male had passed away
  • 11:40 a.m. 911 call hang up in the 200 block of Denson Street. It was an accidental call
  • 11:44 a.m. 911 call in the 2000 block of 16th Street. It was an accidental call
  • 11:46 a.m. Controlled fire in the 2000 block of State Road 60 East
  • 11:53 a.m. Request for animal control in the 600 block of Briarwood Lane for a dog left behind in a vacant home
  • 12:03 p.m. Traffic stop at Eastern Green High School
  • 12:22 p.m. 911 call hang up in the 1000 block of McFadden Ridge Road. There was no issue

  • 1:30 p.m. Report of an erratic driver in a van at State Road 37, north of the dealerships
  • 1:37 p.m. Request for animal control in the 600 block of Wallner Quarry Road for a stray cat
  • 1:38 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37, north of the dealerships
  • 1:46 p.m. Request for a welfare check in the 3000 block of Leatherwood Road
  • 1:53 p.m. 911 call in the 500 block of South 5th Street. The caller was making sure his phone was working
  • 1:54 p.m. Officers responded to the 900 block of 16th Street
  • 2:18 p.m. Controlled fire in the 2000 block of Rabbit Road
  • 2:30 p.m. Report of missing medication from Mitchell Manor
  • 2:43 p.m. 911 call in the 2000 block of Norton Lane. It was an accidental call
  • 2:48 p.m. School patrols at Oolitic schools
  • 2:49 p.m. Request for animal control to US 50 East and Stove Road for two dogs running loose
  • 2:59 p.m. Controlled fire in the 2000 block of Williams Road
  • 3:30 p.m. 911 call in the 1000 block of I Street. Bedford Police were alerted
  • 3:30 p.m. A resident in the 200 block of Greer Lane reported someone she can not see is touching her and possibly made her drink bleach the other night. The woman’s guardian believes allowing her granddaughter to call the sheriff’s department is an outlet and helps her mental health. Since not being able to call the woman’s mental health has declined. The woman was detained and transported to IU Health Bloomington for a mental evaluation
  • 4:43 p.m. Agency assist with Indiana State Police in Mitchell
  • 4:45 p.m. Report of a disabled vehicle in the 3000 block of State Road 446
  • 5:11 p.m. Officers were out with a person in the 600 block of West Frank Street
  • 5:17 p.m. Chimney fire reported in the 300 block of Old Buddha Road. The caller says he got most of the fire out but the woodstove pipe is still very hot and is requesting the fire department respond
  • 5:30 p.m. 911 call in the 100 block of Art Gallery Road. There was no issue
  • 5:45 p.m. Report of a suspicious person at 5th and West Warren streets
  • 6:09 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and Main Street. The driver was given a verbal warning for an equipment violation
  • 6:13 p.m. Report a blue Mustang driving up and down  State Road 37 and State Road 60 East at a high rate of speed
  • 6:24 p.m. Request for animal control in the 100 block of Shores Lane for the neighbor’s dog running loose again
  • 6:27 p.m. Traffic stop at 5th Street and North Mississippi Avenue
  • 6:34 p.m. Traffic stop at Mitchell Road and 21st Street. The driver was given a verbal warning for an equipment violation
  • 6:39 p.m. Traffic stop at US 50 East and Deer Creek Estates. The driver was given a verbal warning for an equipment violation
  • 6:41 p.m. Report of an unwanted person in the 100 block of Eastern Heights Drive. The woman reported there are multiple people at her home. She wants them gone. The people are saying the woman can’t throw them out
  • 7:04 p.m. Report of a lockout at the library in Mitchell and her dog is inside
  • 7:04 p.m. Agency assist in the 100 block of East Grissom Avenue
  • 7:51 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and Trogdon Lane
  • 8:12 p.m. Citizen assist in the 500 block of Harold Smith Road
  • 9:31 p.m. Agency assist in the 100 block of East Grissom Avenue. A female and two others were detained
  • 11:07 p.m. 911 call in Washington County. Washington County Sheriff’s Department was alerted
  • 11:15 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and Washboard Road. The driver was given a written warning for speed
