Fowler man behind bars after fatal shooting in Hope, Indiana

HOPE – A Fowler man is behind bars after a fatal shooting in the 300 block of Elm Street in Hope, Indiana on Saturday night.

According to the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department, when deputies arrived just before 10 p.m. they found 18-year-old Jesse Bragg inside the home. He had suffered a gunshot wound to the chest.

Deputies and EMS rendered medical aid but Bragg died from his injury at the scene.

An investigation into the shooting resulted in deputies arresting 18-year-old Joseph Kidwell of Fowler on a charge of reckless homicide.

The incident remains under investigation.
