Man shot during road rage incident on Thanksgiving Day

COLUMBUS — Columbus Police detectives are looking for the driver who shot a man during a road rage incident on the city’s east side on Thanksgiving.

The man was grazed by one of the gunshots, according to police.

According to investigators, the shooter is a black male in his early 20s with shoulder-length dreadlocks. He was driving a newer model red SUV possibly a GMC Terrain.

The incident was reported around 4:40 p.m. Thanksgiving Day on Indianapolis Road near Brian Drive.

The victim told police the red SUV sideswiped his vehicle while passing on Indianapolis Drive. The driver told police he pulled his vehicle to the side of the road to check the damages and that is when the suspect fired multiple gunshots into his vehicle with one of those grazing the man.
