“This donation came from a portion of the picture proceeds at the Claude Akins Memorial Golf Classic, that we were able to match $1 for each dollar donated, to bring the total to $1,000,” said Golf Chairman / Board Member Joey Elliott.

The money donated will go towards running the programs, age group swimming instruction, and off-season training for High School swimmers. The hope is to also include an adult swimming program for the first time.

LCA & BNL Head Swim Coach Adam Young is hopeful that this donation will continue to help improve and expand the needed classes for members of the community.

“This will really help a lot of the programs provided and lessons for all ages through LCA,” said Young. “The cost of staff, as well as equipment, is more expensive than ever and this donation really helps us continue to offer top-notch services to the community.”
