INDIANA – The placement of large stones to control side-slope erosion is expected to shift northbound State Road 37 traffic early this week and southbound traffic midweek north of Martinsville.
Median cable barrier installation, drainage work, and other finishing touches continue along S.R. 37 between Martinsville and Henderson Ford Road.
Around-the-clock lane closures are expected to end this fall after permanent striping work is completed.
The permanent looping ramp for northbound State Road 37 exiting onto County Line Road is now open! It splits off from northbound S.R. 37 traffic about a half mile further south.
Crews expect to shift traffic on a portion of Southport Road west of State Road 37 this week following traffic signal construction at Wellingshire Boulevard and the realigned Belmont Avenue. The new traffic signal is expected to be activated in late October or early November.
Drivers are encouraged to access Belmont Avenue which runs along the west side of S.R. 37 from Banta Road or Southport Road to the south. Epler Avenue is closed west of Belmont Avenue with construction trucks entering and exiting the work zone.

Lifting large beams into place for a future I-69 bridge over Bluff Creek is expected to close one southbound lane tonight near S.R. 144.

Roundabout construction progress is expected to shift Waverly Park Road/Old S.R. 37 traffic this week south of S.R. 144.
The actual starting date and duration for work and any closures may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen activities occur.
