Oolitic Marshals officer receives new K9 Kadet from Clinton, MO

OOLITIC – The Clinton, Missouri Police Department recently donated canine Kadet to the Oolitic Marshal’s Office, and he’s been partnered with Deputy Marshal Shaun Cabral.

Kadet is replacing Canine Greta Lynn, who passed away earlier this year, and Kadet will be a valuable asset to the Oolitic Marshal’s Office. Kadet is a 4 1/2-year-old Dutch Shepherd from Poland, he was acquired by the Clinton Police Department from the Little Rock K-9 Academy in Little Rock, Arkansas; and he’s trained in narcotics and patrol.

Oolitic Deputy Marshal Shaun Cabral

Deputy Cabral is an experienced canine handler, he’s a former Captain with the Mitchell Police Department, and he previously handled canines Ido and Jack. Deputy Cabral and Jack were assigned to the Lawrence County HITS Team, Deputy Cabral deployed Jack over 281 times during a two-year period, and they were able to successfully remove dangerous narcotics from within communities, and help jail violators on multiple occasions.
