BLOOMINGTON – The annual Bug Fest 2022 is coming up in just a couple of weeks, and the Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department are in need of volunteer help.
This popular annual event averages hundreds of attendees, with increasing attendance each year, so volunteers are a crucial part of making Bug Fest a success.
The event is on October 1 from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at Hilltop Garden and Nature Center at 2367 East 10th Street in Bloomington.
If you are an outdoor enthusiast and love to see new generations learn about the importance of natural resources, put that passion into action by volunteering with Bug Fest.
Volunteers are needed to greet participants at the welcome table, facilitate craft areas and activity tables, and serve as room hosts for our variety of speakers and performers. Volunteers must be 18 years old or older. Two shifts are available from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.
