Creston East, 93, formerly of Bedford, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022, in Columbus, Indiana.
Born July 8, 1929, in Quinton, Kentucky, he was the son of Marshall and Trucye (Sexton) East. He married Kathleen Dalton on September 11, 1948. He graduated from Shawswick High School, Class of 1947. He worked in the limestone industry.
Surviving are daughter, Jo Ellen (Kenny) Hammack; son, Roe C. (Sharon) East; grandsons, Scott (Mandy) Bartley, James Bartley, Andrew (Deidi) East; and great-grandson Cole Bartley.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and siblings, Tom, Bill, and Anna.
A private service was held. Burial was in Leatherwood Cemetery.
The Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford has been entrusted with the arrangements for Creston.
