BEDFORD – The WQRK Southern Indiana’s Classic Hits & Litefm Persimmon Idol Finalists have released the songs they have chosen to perform next Monday night on the Main Street Stage in Mitchell, following the 2022 Persimmon Festival Queen Pageant.
Come enjoy your very own local artists showcasing their talents. The WQRK Southern Indiana‘s Classic Hits & Litefm Persimmon Idol is free to attend. The champion of WQRK Southern Indiana‘s Classic Hits & Litefm Persimmon Idol will take home a grand prize package that includes $500 cold hard cash.
This competition is more than just about vocal talent. The judges will be looking for the best overall entertainer and performer. The finalists will be judged in the following categories.
- Stage Performance
- Vocal Technique
- Style Performance
- Word Memorization
- Song Choice
Adult Division Finalists Song Choices:
- Amanda Bockting, of Salem, will perform Powder and Lead by Miranda Lambert
- Christina Bell, of Bedford, will perform Mercy by Duffy
- Jae Resto, of French Lick, will perform What’s Up by 4 Non Blondes
- Kaity Sandes, of Bedford, will perform Hallelujah by Leanord Cohen
- Kylee Pendley, of Orleans, will perform Rise Up by Andra Day
- DJ Watson, of Mitchell, will perform Suspicious Minds by Elvis Presley
- Derrick Weidner and Olivia Doyle, of Bloomington, will perform I Will Wait by Mumford and Sons
- Bryan Woosley, of Springville, will perform Yee Haw by Jake Owens
Youth Divison Finalist Song Choices:
