Orleans Beanstock 2022 Music Festival focused on youth mental health & well-being July 15-16

ORLEANS – Beanstock 2022, a music festival to raise awareness and funds for mental health support for youth, will take place on Friday and Saturday, July 15-16, 2022, in Orleans, IN.

In 1995, Paul Edward “Beanie” Shelton dreamed of creating an event that would bring the small community of Orleans, IN, together to raise funds for a local charity. Shelton pulled together family and friends and held the original Beanstock on July 15, 1995. The community gathered for live music, food, and fun, and those in attendance recall that Beanstock 1995 was “a wonderful day.”

Giving back to his community was very important to Shelton, who was a unique, fun-loving, and kindhearted man who also struggled with mental illness. Shelton passed away on May 15, 2012, and Beanstock 2022 is dedicated to his memory.

A “Very Important Bean (VIB)” experience will take place on Friday evening, July 15, at Burton’s Farmhouse, with access to an exclusive dinner, a VIB bundle, and an intimate performance by Nashville recording artist Clayton Anderson.

On Saturday, July 16, there will be live music, great food, craft vendors, and fun for all ages, including a Best Dressed Hippie Contest and a motorcycle ride. Saturday’s full-day event in Orleans’ Congress Square is free. Music begins at noon.

Proceeds from the event will benefit local organizations, including Youth First, Inc., a nonprofit agency transforming youth and families by embedding Master’s level social workers and prevention programs in Orange County schools.
