BLOOMINGTON – Today at 3:30 p.m., the Monroe County Democratic Party will break the tie in the Bloomington 23 Precinct Race, between Karen Granger and Alessia Modjarrad.
Per the Indiana Democratic Party rules, the local party needs to resolve all ties in precinct races by 6 p.m. tonight.
The MCDP has elected to resolve the race with a coin toss. This allows for the most transparent way to resolve the race. The coin toss will take place at approximately 3:35 p.m. at the Monroe County Democratic Party Headquarters at 116 South Madison Street in suite in Bloomington. The entrance to the suite is on the side of the building in the parking lot. Please avoid using the parking lot as suitemates have priority parking during the business day.
