Hoosier Hills Food Bank assisting low-income seniors in Martin County

MARTIN CO. – Hoosier Hills Food Bank operates a federal food assistance program to provide low-income seniors with nonperishable food items (canned fruits and vegetables, shelf-stable milk, cereal, etc.) and cheese.

Seniors who are 60 years and older that live in Martin County may qualify to receive two senior food boxes and blocks of cheese every other month.

Eligible seniors may sign up at the next distribution at Family Fellowship Church and receive food the same day.

The income limit for an individual is $1,473 monthly and the limit for a senior in a two-person household is $1,984 monthly.
